Quarter Turn Butterfly Valves
An Economical Choice
Quarter-turn butterfly valves are a great (and less expensive) alternative to the globe or ball control valves in applications where 1-2% accuracy is acceptable. Process conditions will dictate whether a resilient seated, high-performance, or triple-offset butterfly valve should be selected.
If pressures and temperatures are not extreme, quarter-turn butterfly valves should work just fine. If pressure and temperature exceed the limits of a resilient seat, a high-performance quarter-turn butterfly valve may be the answer. A third option would be a triple offset butterfly assembly, used often for high-temperature or very abrasive applications. Our technical staff can help with the proper selection of flow control products.
